       AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation  to  the
         application of pesticides to drinking water
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 33-1301 of the environmental  conservation  law  is
    2  amended by adding a new subdivision 12 to read as follows:
    3    12. FOR ANY PERSON TO APPLY ANY PESTICIDE TO A WATER BODY WITH A WATER
    4  SUPPLY  INTAKE THAT IS USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING WATER FOR HUMAN
    5  CONSUMPTION, EXCEPT FOR PESTICIDES USED  FOR  THE  PURPOSE  OF  DRINKING
    6  WATER DISINFECTION.
    7    S  2.  This  act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall
    8  have become a law.
