        AN ACT to amend the public housing law, in  relation  to  requiring  New
          York  city housing authority to maintain a database of vacant residen-
          tial housing units

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1. Section 402 of the public housing law is amended by adding
     2  a new subdivision 12 to read as follows:
     3    12. a. The New York city housing authority shall establish  and  main-
     4  tain  a public database of all residential dwelling units that have been
     5  vacant for at least one hundred eighty days.
     6    b. Such database shall contain:
     7    (i) the month and year when each unit was last vacated;
     8    (ii) the projected date for the completion of any necessary repairs in
     9  each such unit; and
    10    (iii) a projected date for when each such unit will be available.
    11    c. Such database  shall  be  publicly  available  on  the  authority's
    12  website and updated on a quarterly basis.
    13    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
