STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1247 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 13, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. E. BROWN -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Mental Health AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law, in relation to requiring the state to reimburse municipalities for loss of real property tax reven- ue resulting from establishment of community residential facilities The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 41.34 of the mental hygiene law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision (g) to read as follows: 3 (g) Upon the establishment of a community residential facility for the 4 disabled by a sponsoring agency, the state comptroller shall reimburse a 5 municipality for loss of real property tax revenue resulting from the 6 establishment of such facility. 7 § 2.
