STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1473 2025-2026 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 9, 2025 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. STIRPE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws of 2024 amending the general municipal law relating to including lakes in adopt-a-municipal park, shoreline or roadway programs, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 4636 and A. 4563, in relation to fees for activities under- taken pursuant to a lake program The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 3 of a chapter of the laws of 2024 amending the 2 general municipal law relating to including lakes in adopt-a-municipal 3 park, shoreline or roadway programs, as proposed in legislative bills 4 numbers S. 4636 and A. 4563 is renumbered section 4 and a new section 3 5 is added to read as follows: 6 § 3. Subdivision 7 of section 70-0117 of the environmental conserva- 7 tion law, as amended by chapter 329 of the laws of 1995, is amended to 8 read as follows: 9 7. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the department shall 10 not charge any application fee or any other fee for any activity under- 11 taken pursuant to an adopt-a-park, shoreline [or], roadway or lake 12 program pursuant to section two hundred seventy-seven of the general 13 municipal law. 14 § 2. This act shall take effect on the same date and in the same 15 manner as a chapter of the laws of 2024 amending the general municipal 16 law relating to including lakes in adopt-a-municipal park, shoreline or 17 roadway programs, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 4636 and 18 A. 4563, takes effect.
