       AN  ACT to amend the agriculture and markets law, in relation to requir-
         ing milk produced by cows fed, injected with  or  administered  growth
         hormones to be labeled as such
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The agriculture and markets law is amended by adding a  new
    2  section 64 to read as follows:
    3    S  64.  MILK  PRODUCED BY COWS ADMINISTERED GROWTH HORMONES. NO PERSON
    4  PACKAGING MILK WITH INTENT TO SELL SUCH PRODUCT,  WHEN  ANY  PORTION  OF
    5  SUCH MILK WAS PRODUCED BY COWS FED, INJECTED WITH OR IN ANY WAY ADMINIS-
    6  TERED  ANY  GROWTH HORMONE, SHALL SELL SUCH MILK UNLESS THE PACKAGING IS
    7  LABELED, "THIS MILK WAS PRODUCED BY COWS ADMINISTERED GROWTH HORMONES".
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
    9  have become a law.
