       AN ACT to amend chapter 759 of the laws of 1973 relating to the transfer
         of lands to the United States for the  establishment  of  the  Gateway
         National  Recreation  Area,  in  relation  to the time period in which
         lands may be conveyed
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section  5 of chapter 759 of the laws of 1973 relating to
    2  the transfer of lands to the United States for the establishment of  the
    3  Gateway  National Recreation Area, as amended by chapter 570 of the laws
    4  of 2011, is amended to read as follows:
    5    S 5. All such lands shall be ceded, granted and conveyed to the United
    6  States on or before May 1, [2013] 2015.
    7    S 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
