STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 2694 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 26, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. BLUMENCRANZ -- read once and referred to the Committee on Consumer Affairs and Protection AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to the unsolicited sending of blank checks by issuers of credit cards The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 520 of the general business law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 10 to read as follows: 3 (10) No issuer of a credit card shall send unsolicited, blank checks 4 to a card member residing in New York state. 5 § 2.
