       AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the placement  of  sex
         offenders into certain facilities
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section 250 to
    2  read as follows:
    3    S 250. PLACEMENT OF HIGH RISK (LEVEL 3)  SEX  OFFENDERS.  NEITHER  THE
    4  DIVISION  OF PROBATION AND CORRECTIONAL ALTERNATIVES, NOR THE DEPARTMENT
    5  OF CORRECTIONAL SERVICES, SHALL PLACE A HIGH RISK (LEVEL 3) SEX OFFENDER
    6  AS DEFINED IN THE CORRECTION LAW IN ANY  STATE  OPERATED  FACILITY  THAT
    7  OFFERS  INPATIENT  SERVICES TO DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED CHILDREN WHO ARE
    8  UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN.
    9    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
