       AN  ACT  to repeal section 39 of the workers' compensation law, relating
         to second-injury disability fund
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 39 of the workers' compensation law is REPEALED.
    2    S  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect  immediately, provided, however,
    3  persons receiving compensation for disablement pursuant to section 39 of
    4  the workers' compensation law prior to the date this  act  takes  effect
    5  shall  continue  to  receive such compensation for the duration of their
    6  disablement.
