       AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
         exempting  certain persons from certification for commercial pesticide
         application
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Subdivision  2  of  section  33-0905 of the environmental
    2  conservation law is amended by adding a  new  paragraph  c  to  read  as
    3  follows:
    4    C.  VOLUNTEERS  OR  APPRENTICES,  WORKING  UNDER  THE SUPERVISION OF A
    5  CERTIFIED COMMERCIAL APPLICATOR,  WHO  APPLY  PESTICIDES  TO  PUBLIC  OR
    6  PRIVATE LAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTROLLING INVASIVE SPECIES.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
