STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 5900 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY March 1, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. WILLIAMS -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to requiring certain individuals to wait twenty-four hours before getting a face tattoo The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 2 468 to read as follows: 3 § 468. Face tattoo; restrictions. No owner, operator or employee of a 4 tattoo studio shall permit a tattoo to be placed on the face of a person 5 between eighteen and twenty-one years of age unless such person has 6 waited a minimum of twenty-four hours after making such tattoo request. 7 § 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall 8 have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD08392-01-1
