MILLER, TOWNSEND -- read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to items reducing federal adjusted gross income THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Subsection (c) of section 612 of the tax law is amended by 2 adding a new paragraph 39 to read as follows: 3 (39) ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF PREMIUMS ACTUALLY PAID BY THE TAXPAYER TO 4 PROVIDE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR HIMSELF OR HERSELF, HIS OR HER SPOUSE OR 5 CHILDREN, REDUCED BY THE AMOUNT OF SUCH HEALTH INSURANCE PREMIUMS 6 CLAIMED AS A DEDUCTION ON THE TAXPAYER'S FEDERAL RETURN. 7 S 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed- 8 ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
