STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7484 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY May 11, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. GONZALEZ-ROJAS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Social Services AN ACT to amend chapter 74 of the laws of 2007 amending the penal law, the criminal procedure law, the correction law, the social services law and the executive law relating to human trafficking, in relation to extending the interagency task force on human trafficking The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 14 of chapter 74 of the laws of 2007 amending the 2 penal law, the criminal procedure law, the correction law, the social 3 services law and the executive law relating to human trafficking, as 4 amended by chapter 228 of the laws of 2019, is amended to read as 5 follows: 6 § 14. This act shall take effect on the first of November next 7 succeeding the date on which it shall have become a law; provided that 8 section 483-ee of the social services law, as added by section eleven of 9 this act, shall take effect immediately and shall remain in full force 10 and effect until September 1, [2021] 2023 when upon such date the 11 provisions of such section shall expire and be deemed repealed. 12 Provided, effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or repeal 13 of any rule or regulation necessary for the timely implementation of the 14 provisions of article 10-D of the social services law, as added by 15 section eleven of this act, on its effective date are authorized to be 16 made on or before such effective date. 17 § 2.
