       AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to asbestos notification fees
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Section  904  of the labor law is amended by adding a new
    2  subdivision 5 to read as follows:
    3    5. ANY CONTRACTOR WHO IS EMPLOYED BY THE CITY OF BUFFALO FOR THE DEMO-
    4  LITION OF A  BUILDING  THAT  CONTAINS  ASBESTOS,  INCLUDING  INDEPENDENT
    5  CONTRACTORS,  SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE ASBESTOS NOTIFICATION FEE
    6  ESTABLISHED PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION TWO OF THIS SECTION.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
