STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 7906 2017-2018 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY May 18, 2017 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. SCHIMMINGER, WALTER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Economic Development AN ACT to amend chapter 297 of the laws of 2016, amending the alcoholic beverage control law and the executive law relating to a reorganiza- tion of the alcoholic beverage control law, in relation to eliminating the expiration and repeal of certain provisions authorizing seven day license holders to sell gift bags and authorizing manufacturers to transport alcoholic beverages to an adjacent retail premises The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 18 of chapter 297 of the laws of 2016, amending the 2 alcoholic beverage control law and the executive law relating to a reor- 3 ganization of the alcoholic beverage control law, is amended to read as 4 follows: 5 § 18. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall 6 have become a law; provided, however, that section twelve of this act 7 shall take effect immediately; provided, further, that the amendments to 8 section 17 of the alcoholic beverage control law made by section three 9 of this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such 10 section pursuant to section 4 of chapter 118 of the laws of 2012, as 11 amended, when upon such date the provisions of section four of this act 12 shall take effect[; and further provided that sections six and thirteen13of this act shall expire and be deemed repealed three years after such14effective date]. 15 § 2.
