       AN ACT making an appropriation to the New York City department of  home-
         less services for the purpose of funding the Advantage Program
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The sum of thirty-five million dollars ($35,000,000), or so
    2  much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the New York
    3  City department of homeless services out of  any  moneys  in  the  state
    4  treasury  in  the  general  fund  to  the credit of the local assistance
    5  account, not otherwise appropriated, and made immediately available, for
    6  the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the New York City  depart-
    7  ment of homeless services' Advantage Program. Such moneys shall be paya-
    8  ble on the audit and warrant of the comptroller on vouchers certified or
    9  approved in the manner prescribed by law.
   10    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
