       AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the financing
         and construction of certain facilities for the Honest Weight Community
         Initiative Inc. (Honest Weight Food Co-Op)
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  Paragraph  (b)  of  subdivision  2 of section 1676 of the
    2  public authorities law is amended by adding a new undesignated  subpara-
    3  graph to read as follows:
    4    HONEST  WEIGHT COMMUNITY INITIATIVE INC. (HONEST WEIGHT FOOD CO-OP), A
    5  NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION, FOR FINANCING AND CONSTRUCTION  FOR  FACILI-
    6  TIES WITHIN THE CITY OF ALBANY.
    7    S  2.  Subdivision  1 of section 1680 of the public authorities law is
    8  amended by adding a new undesignated paragraph to read as follows:
    9    HONEST WEIGHT COMMUNITY INITIATIVE INC. (HONEST WEIGHT FOOD CO-OP)
   10    S 3. Any contracts entered into by the dormitory authority pursuant to
   11  this act shall be deemed state contracts within the meaning of that term
   12  as set forth in article 15-A of the executive  law,  and  the  authority
   13  shall  be  deemed, for the purposes of this act, a contracting agency as
   14  that term is used in such article.
   15    S 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
