        AN  ACT to authorize certain health care professionals licensed to prac-
          tice in other jurisdictions to practice in this  state  in  connection
          with  an  event  sanctioned  by  the  World Triathlon Corporation; and
          providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Notwithstanding  any  inconsistent  provision of law, any
     2  person who is licensed to practice as a physician,  physician's  assist-
     3  ant, massage therapist, physical therapist, chiropractor, dentist, opto-
     4  metrist,  nurse,  nurse  practitioner,  emergency  medical technician or
     5  podiatrist in another state or territory, who is  in  good  standing  in
     6  such  state or territory and who has been appointed by the World Triath-
     7  lon Corporation to provide professional services at  an  event  in  this
     8  state  sanctioned  by  the World Triathlon Corporation, may provide such
     9  professional services to athletes and team personnel registered to train
    10  at a location in this  state  or  registered  to  compete  in  an  event
    11  conducted  under  the sanction of the World Triathlon Corporation in the
    12  state without first being licensed pursuant to the provisions of title 8
    13  of the education law. Such services shall be provided  only  during  the
    14  time period specified by the World Triathlon Corporation.
    15    §  2. This act shall take effect July 20, 2016 and shall expire and be
    16  deemed repealed July 25, 2016.
