       AN  ACT  to  amend  the  abandoned  property  law, in relation to notice
         requirements for unclaimed property
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1.  Subdivision 3 of section 601 of the abandoned property law
    2  is amended by adding a new paragraph (d) to read as follows:
    3    (D)  A  PHONE NUMBER OF THE AGENCY, AUTHORITY, DEPARTMENT, DIVISION OR
    4  OFFICE LISTING SUCH UNCLAIMED OR ABANDONED PROPERTY. SUCH  PHONE  NUMBER
    5  SHALL  BE  LISTED  CONSPICUOUSLY, IN A FONT SIZE LARGER THAN THAT OF ANY
    6  NAMES LISTED.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
