       AN  ACT  to  amend  the  education  law, in relation to making technical
         changes to certain references to the 2011-2012  and  2012-2013  school
         years
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 4207 of the  educa-
    2  tion  law, as amended by section 12-c of part A of a chapter of the laws
    3  of 2012 amending the education law and other laws relating to apportion-
    4  ment of school aid, as proposed in legislative bill numbers S.6257-E and
    5  A.9057-D, is amended to read as follows:
    6    a.  For the two thousand [eleven] ELEVEN--TWO THOUSAND TWELVE and  two
    7  thousand  [twelve]  TWELVE--TWO THOUSAND THIRTEEN school years, costs of
    8  tuition, as defined in section forty-two hundred eleven of this article,
    9  shall be a charge upon the school district of which any  such  child  is
   10  resident  at  the  time of admission or readmission to any of the insti-
   11  tutions subject to this article and the  directors  of  the  institution
   12  shall  bill  such  school district for such tuition costs on a quarterly
   13  basis. The first such  quarterly  payment  may  be  based  on  projected
   14  enrollment,  provided  that  subsequent  payments  shall  be adjusted to
   15  reflect actual enrollment. The amount of tuition  paid  by  such  school
   16  district  shall be eligible for reimbursement by the state to the extent
   17  provided in section forty-two hundred four-b of this article.
   18    S 2. This act shall take effect on the  same  date  and  in  the  same
   19  manner as section 12-c of part A of a chapter of the laws of 2012 amend-
   20  ing the education law and other laws relating to apportionment of school
   21  aid,  as  proposed  in  legislative  bill numbers S.6257-E and A.9057-D,
   22  takes effect.
