         Boyland, Brennan, McEneny, Reilly, Simanowitz, Thiele, Titone) -- read
         once and referred to the Committee on Transportation
       AN ACT to amend the navigation law, in relation to rates for pilotage on
         Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Subparagraph 1 of paragraph b of subdivision 4  of  section
    2  89-b  of  the  navigation  law, as amended by chapter 339 of the laws of
    3  2007, is amended to read as follows:
    4    (1) Upon the effective date of this paragraph and thereafter:
    5    All vessels shall pay seven dollars per pilotage unit; [upon one  year
    6  after  the effective date of a chapter of the laws of two thousand seven
    7  that amended this subparagraph and thereafter,  all  vessels  shall  pay
    8  seven dollars and forty-two cents per pilotage unit; and, upon two years
    9  after  the effective date of a chapter of the laws of two thousand seven
   10  that amended this subparagraph and thereafter,  all  vessels  shall  pay
   11  seven  dollars  and  eighty-seven  cents per pilotage unit] FROM JANUARY
   12  FIRST, TWO THOUSAND THIRTEEN UNTIL JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND  FOURTEEN
   13  ALL  VESSELS SHALL PAY EIGHT DOLLARS AND ELEVEN CENTS PER PILOTAGE UNIT;
   14  FROM JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND FOURTEEN UNTIL JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOU-
   15  SAND FIFTEEN, ALL VESSELS SHALL PAY EIGHT DOLLARS AND TWENTY-SEVEN CENTS
   16  PER PILOTAGE UNIT; FROM JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND FIFTEEN UNTIL  JANU-
   17  ARY  FIRST, TWO THOUSAND SIXTEEN ALL VESSELS SHALL PAY EIGHT DOLLARS AND
   18  FORTY-FOUR CENTS PER PILOTAGE UNIT; FROM  JANUARY  FIRST,  TWO  THOUSAND
   19  SIXTEEN  UNTIL  JANUARY  FIRST, TWO THOUSAND SEVENTEEN ALL VESSELS SHALL
   20  PAY EIGHT DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS PER PILOTAGE UNIT; ON AND AFTER  JANU-
   21  ARY  FIRST,  TWO  THOUSAND SEVENTEEN ALL VESSELS SHALL PAY EIGHT DOLLARS
   22  AND EIGHTY-SIX CENTS PER PILOTAGE UNIT.
   23    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
