        HONORING  Amber Lee Forrester upon the occasion of
        her  designation  for  special  recognition  at  the
        Young, Gifted, and Black Entrepreneurial Awards 20th
        Anniversary Gala on February 26, 2025

  WHEREAS,  It  is  the custom of this Legislative Body to honor those
enduring individuals and organizations  which  devote  their  purposeful
energies  to  improving  the  quality  and dignity of life of those they
serve, to preserving their heritage, and to fostering pride among  them;
and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Amber Lee Forrester upon the occasion of  her  designation  for  special
recognition  at the Young, Gifted, and Black Entrepreneurial Awards 20th
Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, February 26,  2025,  at  Terrace  on  the
Park, Queens, New York; and

  WHEREAS,  The  Young,  Gifted,  & Black (YGB) Entrepreneurial Awards
were established in 2006 by Carl Gray as a  platform  to  spotlight  and
celebrate  everyday  individuals  who  serve  as  positive  role models,
inspiring their peers through their accomplishments,  perseverance,  and
contributions; and

  WHEREAS,  Carl  Gray's vision for the YGB Entrepreneurial Awards has
remained steadfast in ensuring  recognition  is  given  to  those  whose
contributions, though not always highlighted in mainstream media, have a
profound and lasting influence within their fields and society; and

  WHEREAS,  Amber  Lee Forrester is the founder of the Quartz Wellness
collective, an organization that provides life-enhancing  resources  and
tools for women who seek to live healthier, happier, and more purposeful
lifestyles;  The Quartz Wellness Collective hosts and produces uplifting
events,  transformational  workshops,  retreats,  and   online   content
designed  to  promote mental, physical, emotional, financial, and social
well-being; and

  WHEREAS, With 15 years of event experience and 10 years  of  apparel
design,  manufacturing,  sales,  and  marketing, Amber Lee Forrester has
become adept at product development, branding, and  online  retail;  she
has even secured a deal on the popular ABC TV show, "Shark Tank" for her
dog apparel company, Kane & Couture; and

  WHEREAS,  After  a  decade  of  building  a  successful  pet apparel
business, Amber Lee Forrester sought a career  transition  to  focus  on
wellness, coaching, and motivational speaking; as a wife and mother, her
priorities  shifted,  leading  her  to  explore  personal growth through
travel, reading, journaling, and coaching; and

  WHEREAS,  Amber  Lee  Forrester  created  IPower,  a  young  women's
empowerment  camp, as well as The Glow Up Retreat, a wellness retreat in
Grenada, to explore her new path and share they joy it brings; she  also

earned  a certification in applied positive psychology and is building a
social wellness community for multi-cultural women in urban areas; and

  WHEREAS,  With unrelenting care for the betterment of her community,
Amber Lee  Forrester  has  spoken  at  schools,  churches,  entrepreneur
conferences, and her own wellness events and retreats, motivating people
to  find purpose, let go of limiting beliefs, and have the confidence to
show up and accomplish what one's heart desires; and

  WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her beloved  husband,  Garvin,
and  their  two  cherished children, all of whom feel privileged to be a
part of her fruitful life and rejoice in her numerous achievements; and

  WHEREAS, It is  the  sense  of  this  Legislative  Body  that  those
individuals  and  organizations  which  give  positive definition to the
profile and disposition of the communities of the State of New York,  do
so  profoundly  strengthen  our  shared  commitment  to  the exercise of
freedom; now, therefore, be it.

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Amber  Lee  Forrester  upon  the  occasion of her designation for
special recognition at the  Young,  Gifted,  and  Black  Entrepreneurial
Awards  20th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, February 26, 2025; and be it
further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Amber Lee Forrester.
