        HONORING  Banker  Orchards  Farm  Market  upon the
        occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2023
        Small Business  of  the  Year  Award  by  the  North
        Country Chamber of Commerce

  WHEREAS,  It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements  of  those  individuals  and  businesses  that   contribute
substantially  to  the  economic  vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Banker  Orchards  Farm  Market  upon  the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2023 Small Business of the  Year  Award  by  the  North
Country  Chamber  of  Commerce, which was celebrated at its 111th Annual
Awards Dinner, "A Winter Wonderland," on Friday, January  27,  2023,  at
the West Side Ballroom in Plattsburgh, New York; and

  WHEREAS,  Banker  Orchards Farm Market is receiving this prestigious
award for its steadfast and unremitting commitment to  its  Plattsburgh,
New York, and the North Country communities; and

  WHEREAS,  Established  in  1991,  Banker  Orchards  Farm  Market has
tirelessly served its community for more than three decades; and

  WHEREAS, Under the able leadership  of  its  owner,  Nina  Sullivan,
Banker Orchards Farm Market offers a variety of freshly grown apples and
an  array  of  fresh  baked  goods, including apple, pumpkin, raspberry,
strawberry rhubarb, and blueberry pies; furthermore, this  extraordinary
establishment grows all its own apples and pumpkins; and

  WHEREAS,  Additionally,  Bankers  Orchards Farm Market has a Petting
Zoo onsite with pigs, goats, llamas, miniature donkeys and horses; it is
open to the public, as well as scheduled class trips  on  weekdays,  and
birthday parties on weekends; and

  WHEREAS,  A  true  Adirondack  Coast treasure, Nina Sullivan and her
devoted team have built a quality orchard that is  a  truly  stand-alone
destination; and

  WHEREAS,  Since its inception, Banker Orchards Farm Market has stood
as a beloved establishment which has provided  countless  families  with
lasting memories; and

  WHEREAS,  It  is  with  great  pleasure  that  this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business  and  its  contributions  to  the
local  and  State  economies,  fully  confident that it will continue to
enjoy  the  sparkling  successes  it  has  experienced  thus  far;  now,
therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Banker Orchards Farm Market upon the occasion of  its  designation

as  recipient  of the 2023 Small Business of the Year Award by the North
Country Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Nina Sullivan, Banker Orchards Farm Market.
