        HONORING  Maureen Crush, Esq. upon the occasion of
        her designation as a Champion of  Justice  by  Legal
        Services of the Hudson Valley on May 21, 2019

  WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize   and  acknowledge  those  within  our  midst  who  have  made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

  WHEREAS, From time to time  this  Legislative  Body  takes  note  of
certain   extraordinary  individuals  and  organizations  it  wishes  to
recognize for their valued contributions to the success and progress  of
society and publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the
basic humanity among us all; and

  WHEREAS,  This  Legislative  Body  is  justly proud to honor Maureen
Crush, Esq. upon the occasion  of  her  designation  as  a  Champion  of
Justice  by  Legal Services of the Hudson Valley to be celebrated at its
3rd Annual Orange & Sullivan Partners in Justice Reception  on  Tuesday,
May 21, 2019; and

  WHEREAS  As  a  Partner at Crush & Varma Law Group P.C., Maureen Crush
heads the corporate and  commercial  practice  group  of  the  firm  and
practices  primarily  general corporate and business transaction law, as
well as trusts and estates; and

  WHEREAS, Maureen Crush also has extensive  not-for-profit  corporate
law  experience  providing  advice  to her clients throughout the Hudson
Valley on governance, compliance, formation, mergers  and  affiliations;
and

  WHEREAS,  Her  clients  cover a wide variety of businesses including
technology companies, manufacturers,  professional  practices,  minority
and  women  owned  businesses,  not-for-profit  social service agencies,
charities, museums, and religious and social benefit organizations; and

  WHEREAS, Maureen Crush  counsels  her  clients  on  negotiation  and
drafting  of  complex mergers and acquisitions, transaction structuring,
due diligence and corporate governance,  employment  issues,  contracts,
leases,   loans   and   financings,  shareholder  and  member  operating
agreements, business succession planning and  the  admission/termination
of partners; and

  WHEREAS,  In addition, she frequently provides estate and succession
planning services for the key  employees  and  owners  of  her  business
clients; and

  WHEREAS,  Maureen  Crush  is  a  frequent  lecturer on corporate and
not-for-profit law issues  for  the  New  York  State  Bar  Association,
National   Business  Institute  and  many  local  bar  associations  and
organizations; and

  WHEREAS,  With  a  steadfast  and  unremitting  commitment  to   her
community, Maureen Crush has given of her time and energies to countless

organizations,  including  the  New York State Bar Association, Dutchess
Tourism, Inc., Independent Home Care, Inc.,  Independent  Living,  Inc.,
Independent  Strategy  Group,  Inc.,  Women's  Professional  Network and
Women's Leadership Alliance; and

  WHEREAS,  Furthermore,  she  served  as President of the Women's Bar
Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties, as well as  Vice  President
and  Treasurer  of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York;
and

  WHEREAS, Maureen Crush has been  the  proud  recipient  of  numerous
awards  and accolades including: the 2012 Root/Stimson Award, Commitment
to Public Service, New York State Bar Association;  2012  Golden  Hammer
Award, Habitat for Humanity; 2011 Athena Award Honoree, Dutchess County;
2010  Distinguished  Attorney,  Women's  Bar Association Orange/Sullivan
Chapter; 2010 Outstanding Service to the Profession, Orange  County  Bar
Association; and 2010 Spirit of Empowerment Award, Professional Business
Woman of the Year, Greater Southern Dutchess Chamber of Commerce; and

  WHEREAS,  Admitted  to  practice  in  New York State and the Supreme
Court of the United  States,  Maureen  Crush  graduated  from  New  York
University  with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting; she went on
to earn her J.D.  from Fordham University School of Law; and

  WHEREAS, It  is  the  sense  of  this  Legislative  Body  that  when
individuals  of  such  noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the  citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Maureen Crush, Esq. upon the occasion  of  her  designation  as  a
Champion  of  Justice  by Legal Services of the Hudson Valley on May 21,
2019; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Maureen Crush, Esq.
