        HONORING Dr. Mohamed Hack upon the occasion of his
        designation as recipient of a Lincoln-King Visionary
        Award   for   his  commitment  and  service  to  his
        community

  WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies  and  serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

  WHEREAS,  Dr.  Mohamed  Hack  has  given  not  only  of his time and
energies but also of his competence,  intelligence  and  leadership  and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and

  WHEREAS,  This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr. Mohamed
Hack upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of a Lincoln-King
Visionary Award for his commitment and service to his community;  he  is
to  be  honored  at  the Lincoln-King Visionary Awards Gala on Saturday,
March 4, 2023, in Mineola, New York; and

  WHEREAS, Dr. Mohamed Hack has been called  upon  to  contribute  his
time  and  talents  to  countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of himself unstintingly; and

  WHEREAS, After  graduating  from  Guyana  Technical  Institute,  Dr.
Mohamed  Hack  studied  Civil Engineering at the Institute of Design and
Construction in New York; and

  WHEREAS, Showing great capability to learn and  adapt  quickly,  Dr.
Mohamed  Hack  rose  through the ranks at multiple security companies in
his early career; he held positions such as Operations Manager,  General
Manager,  Vice President, Director of Security, and Operations Director,
summating to over 37 years in the field of security management; and

  WHEREAS, Dr. Mohamed Hack started his career as a civil  servant  in
2013,  when  he  worked  for  New  York  City  Council  District 28 as a
community liaison; he used his public relations skills to interact  with
communities  of different ethnicities, faiths, and cultures, and engaged
in  many  aspects  of  bringing  communities  of  multiple   backgrounds
together; and

  WHEREAS,  In  2014,  he  became  the  Founder  and  President of the
Interfaith Council for  Community  Development,  and  was  appointed  as
Community  Coordinator  for  South  Asian  and  Caribbean Affairs in the
office of the Queens Borough President; and

  WHEREAS, Dr. Mohamed Hack continued his public service work with the
following Borough President in 2020, serving as Advisor  for  Interfaith
Relations,  Public  Safety  and  Diaspora  Relations,  and  the  current
position he holds, Advisor to the Queens Borough President; and

  WHEREAS, The recipient of ambassadorial recognition, over 50  awards
and accolades, and two Honorary Doctorate degrees, Dr. Mohamed Hack is a

credit  to  the resilience, intellect, and poise synonymous with the New
York spirit; and

  WHEREAS,  Throughout  the  entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Dr. Mohamed Hack has stood  constant
in dignity, good grace, and humor; and

  WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife and children, all of
whom  feel  privileged  to  be  a  part  of  his life and rejoice in his
achievements; and

  WHEREAS, Rare indeed  is  the  impressive  dedication  shown  by  an
individual  for  the  benefit  of  others  which  Dr.  Mohamed  Hack has
displayed throughout his life; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor Dr. Mohamed Hack upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of  a Lincoln-King Visionary Award for his commitment and service to his
community; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Dr. Mohamed Hack.
