STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1391 2025-2026 Regular Sessions IN SENATE January 9, 2025 ___________ Introduced by Sen. CANZONERI-FITZPATRICK -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Trans- portation AN ACT to authorize a study of the traffic conditions in the incorpo- rated village of Cedarhurst and its immediate boundaries, thorough- fares, county and state roads; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The commissioner of transportation, in consultation with 2 the department of motor vehicles, the Nassau county department of trans- 3 portation, the village of Cedarhurst department of transportation, the 4 governor's traffic safety committee, local police agencies, local 5 government stakeholders, and any other agency or group the department of 6 transportation deems necessary to enlist the aid of, shall conduct a 7 study to evaluate the traffic conditions in the incorporated village of 8 Cedarhurst and its immediate boundaries, thoroughfares, county and state 9 roads. Such study shall include, but not be limited to, evacuation 10 routes in the event of a natural or manmade disaster. 11 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be 12 deemed repealed two years after such effective date.
