         printed to be committed to the Committee on Judiciary
       AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to establishing a  second
         county court judgeship in the county of Chenango
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Subdivision 8 of section 182 of the judiciary law, as added
    2  by chapter 699 of the laws of 1969, is amended to read as follows:
    3    8. Chenango, [one] TWO;
    4    S 2. A new office of judge of  the  county  court  of  the  county  of
    5  Chenango is hereby established. Each county court judge in the county of
    6  Chenango,  in  office  or  hereafter  elected,  shall  also  act  as and
    7  discharge the duties of county court judge, judge of  the  family  court
    8  and surrogate of such county.
    9    S  3.  This  act shall take effect January 1, 2014; provided, however,
   10  that the additional office of county court  judge  created  pursuant  to
   11  this  act  shall  first  be filled at the general election to be held on
   12  November 5, 2013.
