        Introduced  by  Sen.  SAVINO -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Codes
        AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to establishing the crime  of
          criminal sale of a gravity knife
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The penal law is amended by adding a new section 265.46  to
     2  read as follows:
     3  § 265.46 Criminal sale of a gravity knife.
     4    A  person  is  guilty  of  criminal  sale of a gravity knife when such
     5  person:
     6    (1) sells, exchanges, gives or disposes of a gravity knife to  another
     7  person; or
     8    (2) possesses a gravity knife with the intent to sell it.
     9    Criminal sale of a gravity knife is a class A misdemeanor.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
    11  it shall have become a law.
