LIBOUS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Civil Service and Pensions AN ACT to authorize Jay Vandermark, Jr. to be employed as a part-time police officer by the village of Deposit, in the county of Broome THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of the civil service law, or 2 any rule or regulation adopted pursuant thereto, to the contrary, the 3 village of Deposit, in the county of Broome, acting by and through its 4 board of trustees, is authorized to employ, as a part-time village 5 police officer without competitive examination, Jay Vandermark, Jr., who 6 is also employed by the department of public works of such village as a 7 full-time equipment operator. 8 S 2.
