STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 4632 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN SENATE February 13, 2023 ___________ Introduced by Sen. LANZA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the provision of express bus service to the south shore of Staten Island The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public authorities law is amended by adding a new 2 section 1266-m to read as follows: 3 § 1266-m. Staten Island express bus service. The authority is hereby 4 directed to continue to fund and operate express bus service transport- 5 ing riders between the communities of Tottenville, Richmond Valley, 6 Prince's Bay, Pleasant Plains, Charleston, Woodrow and Rossville in 7 Staten Island to the downtown and/or midtown business districts of 8 Manhattan on all routes operating such service on April thirtieth, two 9 thousand twenty-four. The authority is hereby directed to assume and 10 operate the two express bus routes serving the communities of Huguenot, 11 Prince's Bay, Woodrow, Rossville, Annadale and Arden Heights to the 12 midtown business district of Manhattan and being operated by Academy Bus 13 Company on April thirtieth, two thousand twenty-five and better known as 14 routes numbered X23 and X24. 15 § 2.
