        Introduced  by  Sen.  BROOKS -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Veterans, Homeland Securi-
          ty and Military Affairs

        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to establishing  a  gaso-
          line  priority list for emergency response personnel in the department
          of homeland security and emergency services

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Subdivision  2  of  section  709  of the executive law is
     2  amended by adding a new paragraph (g-1) to read as follows:
     3    (g-1) establish  a  gasoline  priority  list  for  emergency  response
     4  personnel designated by the disaster preparedness commission for priori-
     5  ty  use  at all service stations during disaster response to natural and
     6  man-made disasters;
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
     8  it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition,  amend-
     9  ment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implemen-
    10  tation  of  this act on its effective date are authorized to be made and
    11  completed on or before such effective date.
