FARLEY, DeFRANCISCO -- read twice and ordered print- ed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend chapter 231 of the laws of 1998 amending the real prop- erty actions and proceedings law relating to mortgage foreclosure, in relation to extending the expiration of the provisions thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 231 of the laws of 1998 amending the 2 real property actions and proceedings law relating to mortgage foreclo- 3 sure, as amended by chapter 123 of the laws of 2005, is amended to read 4 as follows: 5 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall remain in full 6 force and effect until July 1, [2009] 2010, when, upon such date, arti- 7 cle 14 of the real property actions and proceedings law, as added by 8 this act, shall be deemed repealed, but shall apply to any non-judicial 9 proceeding in which the notice of pendency has been filed on or before 10 such date. 11 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that if this act 12 shall not have become a law on or before July 1, 2009, this act shall be 13 deemed to have been in full force and effect on and after July 1, 2009.
