YOUNG -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to directing the commissioner of health to produce a report on the best practices for the management and treatment of mild traumatic brain injuries in chil- dren and adolescents THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Section 206 of the public health law is amended by adding a 2 new subdivision 29 to read as follows: 3 29. WITHIN NINETY DAYS OF THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SUBDIVISION, THE 4 COMMISSIONER SHALL PRODUCE AND PUBLISH, AND PERIODICALLY UPDATE, A 5 REPORT ON THE BEST PRACTICES FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND TREATMENT OF MILD 6 TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURIES, INCLUDING CONCUSSIONS, IN CHILDREN AND ADOLES- 7 CENTS. THE DEPARTMENT SHALL POST SUCH REPORT ON THE DEPARTMENT'S INTER- 8 NET WEBSITE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE INFORMATION REQUIRED TO BE POSTED 9 THEREON PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION FORTY-TWO OF SECTION THREE HUNDRED FIVE 10 OF THE EDUCATION LAW. 11 S 2.
