CARLUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to authorize the Antrim Players, Inc. to file an application for exemption from real property taxes for the parcel of land located in the town of Ramapo, county of Rockland THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, 2 the assessor of the town of Ramapo, county of Rockland, is hereby 3 authorized to accept from the Antrim Players, Inc. an application for 4 exemption from real property taxes pursuant to section 420-a of the real 5 property tax law for the 2011, 2012 and 2013 assessment rolls, for the 6 parcel owned by such not-for-profit, which is located in the town of 7 Ramapo at 15 Spook Rock Road, Wesley Hills, otherwise known as section 8 41.05, block 1, lot 23. If accepted, such application shall be reviewed 9 as if it had been received on or before the taxable status date estab- 10 lished for such rolls. 11 If satisfied that such organization would otherwise be entitled to 12 such exemption if such not-for-profit organization had filed an applica- 13 tion for exemption by the appropriate taxable status date, the assessor, 14 upon approval by the Ramapo town board, may grant exemption from real 15 property taxes and make appropriate corrections to the subject rolls. If 16 such exemption is granted and such organization, therefore, shall have 17 paid any tax with respect to the subject rolls, the applicable governing 18 body or tax department may, in its sole discretion, provide for the 19 refund of those taxes paid and cancel taxes, fines, penalties, liens, or 20 interest remaining unpaid. 21 S 2.
