LITTLE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Judiciary -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE AND ASSEMBLY proposing an amendment to section 1 of article 14 of the constitution, in relation to the exchange of lands in the state forest preserve 1 Section 1. RESOLVED (if the Assembly concur), That section 1 of arti- 2 cle 14 of the constitution be amended by adding a new closing paragraph 3 to read as follows: 4 NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING PROVISIONS AND SUBJECT TO LEGISLATIVE 5 APPROVAL OF THE TRACTS TO BE EXCHANGED PRIOR TO THE ACTUAL TRANSFER OF 6 TITLE AND THE CONDITIONS HEREIN SET FORTH, THE STATE, MAY CONVEY TO THE 7 HATCHBROOK SPORTSMAN'S CLUB, APPROXIMATELY EIGHTY ACRES OF LAND, ADJOIN- 8 ING THE REAL PROPERTY OF THE HATCHBROOK SPORTSMAN'S CLUB AND LOCATED 9 NEAR CATHEAD MOUNTAIN, IN THE TOWN OF BENSON, COUNTY OF HAMILTON, AND IN 10 EXCHANGE THEREFOR; HATCHBROOK SPORTSMAN'S CLUB SHALL CONVEY TO THE STATE 11 FOR INCORPORATION INTO THE FOREST PRESERVE APPROXIMATELY FOUR HUNDRED 12 EIGHTY ACRES OF WILD FOREST LAND LOCATED WITHIN THE ADIRONDACK PARK AND 13 A CONSERVATION EASEMENT OVER THE AFOREMENTIONED EIGHTY ACRES OF LAND AND 14 AN ADDITIONAL THREE HUNDRED TWENTY ACRES OF HATCHBROOK SPORTSMAN'S 15 CLUB'S LANDS. 16 S 2. RESOLVED (if the Assembly concur), That the foregoing amendment 17 be referred to the first regular legislative session convening after the 18 next succeeding general election of members of the assembly, and, in 19 conformity with section 1 of article 19 of the constitution, be 20 published for 3 months previous to the time of such election.
