It is an editor's brief statement of the essential features of the measure as introduced. Requires Water Resources Department to determine water appropriation amount by subbasin and type of beneficial use. Requires department to report findings to interim legislative committee dealing with natural resources. A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to beneficial uses of water. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + The Water Resources Department shall determine for each subbasin wholly or partially in this state the amount of water appropriated for each type of beneficial use as set forth in water right permits and certificates issued by the department on or before the effective date of this 2013 Act. The amount of water appropriated must be expressed using a uniform unit of measurement as determined by the department. The types of beneficial uses for which appropriated amounts are determined must include, but need not be limited to, domestic, municipal, irrigation, power development, industrial, mining, recreation, habitat enhancement and pollution abatement. The department shall report the information determined under this section as provided under ORS 192.230 to 192.250 to an interim committee of the Legislative Assembly dealing with natural resources no later then October 1, 2014. + } ----------
