A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to post-secondary institution response to student conviction for riot. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. { + A community college district shall expel a student if that student is convicted of the crime of riot under ORS 166.015. + } SECTION 2. { + A state institution of higher education listed in ORS 352.002 shall expel a student if that student is convicted of the crime of riot under ORS 166.015. + } SECTION 3. { + Sections 1 and 2 of this 2011 Act apply to convictions for the crime of riot occurring on or after the effective date of this 2011 Act. + } ----------
