It is an editor's brief statement of the essential features of the measure as introduced. Modifies exemption from execution applicable to certain firearms. A BILL FOR AN ACT Relating to firearms; amending ORS 18.362. Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon: SECTION 1. ORS 18.362 is amended to read: 18.362. Every citizen of this state above the age of 16 years shall be entitled to have, hold and keep, for the own use and defense of the citizen and shall have exempt from execution one rifle or shotgun and one pistol. The combined value of all firearms claimed as exempt under this section may not exceed { - $1,000 - } { + $1,500 + }. ----------
