A house RESOLUTION

 

TO SALUTE THE PELION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ARCHERY TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR A SCINTILLATING SEASON AND TO CELEBRATE THEM ON CAPTURING THE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE in the 2024 NATIONAL ARCHERY IN THE SCHOOLS PROGRAM/INTERNATIONAL BOWHUNTING ORGANIZATION OUTDOOR WORLD 3D CHALLENGE.

 

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is delighted to hear that the Pelion Elementary School archery team took home the top prize at the 2024 National Archery in the Schools Program/International Bowhunting Organization (NASP/IBO) Outdoor World 3D Challenge Championship title; and

 

Whereas, held August 7-10, 2024, at Cacapon Resort State Park in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, the tournament also brought the Panthers first place in the Three-Star Challenge (the top combined scores from state, national, and world tournaments); and

 

Whereas, in earning the First Place Elementary School Female award, Karlee Kneece racked up a score of 277 and received the coveted First Place Division Belt Buckle/lBO Belt Buckle. Laycee Morphy walked off with the Second Place Elementary School Female award with a score of 272, while Liam O'Neill grabbed the First Place Elementary School Male award with a score of 282 and also received the highly desired First Place Division Belt Buckle/IBO Belt Buckle; and

 

Whereas, in the Three-Star Challenge, Karlee Kneece was named First Place Elementary School Female, and Laycee Morphy was named Second Place Elementary School Female. Liam O'Neill finished as Third Place Elementary School Male, and Hunter Dawson nailed Fifth Place Elementary School Male; and

 

Whereas, under the leadership of Coaches AnnaLee Clark and Miranda Montgomery, the Panthers gave a demonstration of heart, hard work, perseverance, and talent that showed opposing archers and spectators why Pelion Elementary owns the "Number One" elementary school archery team in the world; and

 

Whereas, proud of these fine student athletes, the South Carolina House appreciates the recognition the Pelion Elementary archers have brought to their school and community, and the members look to hear of many more victories for the school in coming seasons. Now, therefore,

 

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

 

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, salute the Pelion Elementary School archery team, coaches, and school officials for a scintillating season and celebrate them on capturing the Championship title in the 2024 National Archery in the Schools Program/International Bowhunting Organization Outdoor World 3D Challenge.

 

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Francina Gerald and Coaches AnnaLee Clark and Miranda Montgomery.
