A bill

 

TO AMEND THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS BY ADDING SECTION 53-5-110 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT A FULL-TIME STATE EMPLOYEE IS ENTITLED TO ONE PAID HOLIDAY DURING THE MONTH OF THE EMPLOYEE'S BIRTH.

 

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

 

SECTION 1.  Chapter 5, Title 53 of the S.C. Code is amended by adding:

 

    Section 53-5-110.  In addition to the legal holidays provided for in Section 53-5-10, a full-time state employee is entitled to one paid holiday during the month of the employee's birth.

 

SECTION 2.  This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
