A house RESOLUTION
TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR Tammy DELANE CATOE Withrow, the town clerk of jefferson, south carolina, UPON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT AFTER yEARS OF OUTSTANDING SERVICE, AND TO WISH HER CONTINUED SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS IN ALL HER FUTURE ENDEAVORS.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives have learned that Tammy Withrow began a well-deserved retirement on January 2, 2024, after fifteen years as the highly regarded town clerk in Jefferson, South Carolina; and
Whereas, born in Chesterfield, S.C., Tammy Withrow is the daughter of the late Pete and Elaine Catoe, and she graduated from Central High School in 1979; and
Whereas, before beginning her work for the Town of Jefferson, she worked at Conbraco, Anderson Brass, Chesterfield County School District, and the Bank of Jefferson; and
Whereas, during her fifteen years of service as the town clerk of Jefferson, she was responsible for payroll, traffic ticket entry, court, and assisting with budgeting; and
Whereas, she married her beloved husband, Gerald Carl "Jerry" Withrow, Sr., in 1998, and she is the proud mother of four fine children: Keysha O'Neal, Crystal Sellers, Kyle Threatt, and Jerry Withrow. Her children have blessed her with the affection of five loving grandchildren: Makayla, Drake, Lex, Kyleigh, and Kayden; and
Whereas, she is a faithful member of Jefferson First Baptist Church, and she serves as the secretary/treasurer of the Sandhill Volunteer Fire Department, for which she was honored for twenty years of dedicated service; and
Whereas, she plans to spend many happy hours of retirement with her family and traveling in her recently purchased RV; and
Whereas, grateful for her many years of dependable and distinguished service to the Town of Jefferson, the South Carolina House of Representatives takes great pleasure in extending best wishes to Tammy Withrow as she transitions to a richly deserved retirement and the leisurely days ahead, and the members wish her many years of enjoyment in her well-earned retirement, Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Tammy Delane Catoe Withrow, town clerk of Jefferson, South Carolina, upon the occasion of her retirement after years of outstanding service, and wish her continued success and happiness in all her future endeavors.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Tammy Delane Catoe Withrow.
