A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO EXPRESS DEEP APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MARTIN K. TAYLOR, DIRECTOR OF TREASURY MANAGEMENT FOR THE SOUTH CAROLINA TREASURER'S OFFICE, TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM SERVICE TO THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AFTER AN EXEMPLARY CAREER OF OVER THIRTY-FIVE YEARS, AND TO WISH FOR HIM A FUTURE BLESSED WITH GOOD HEALTH AND MUCH JOY.
Whereas, on January 1, 2022, Director of Treasury Management Division Martin K. Taylor of the South Carolina State Treasurer's Office, retired after more than three decades of service to this great State; and
Whereas, with over thirty-five years of valuable experience during his career in South Carolina state government, Martin has proudly served in various finance and auditing roles at the State Auditor's Office, the Department of Health and Human Services, the South Carolina Enterprise Information Management System (SCEIS), and the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs; and
Whereas, Martin Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina in 1986 and is a certified public accountant; and
Whereas, Martin Taylor loves to cook and is an avid outdoorsman. If he is not standing over a cooker, then he is likely in the woods or on the water enjoying South Carolina's natural resources and all of her bounty; and
Whereas, on the home front, Martin finds strength for his labors in the firm support of his family: his beloved wife, Ginger Taylor, and their fine son, William Hunter Taylor; and
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina General Assembly are grateful for the legacy of steadfast service and professional leadership Martin Taylor has bestowed on the Palmetto State and wish him many years of enjoyment in his well-deserved retirement. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That members of the South Carolina General Assembly, by this resolution, express deep appreciation for the dedicated public service of Martin K. Taylor, Director of Treasury Management Division for the South Carolina State Treasurer's Office, congratulate him on the occasion of his retirement from service to the State of South Carolina after an exemplary career of over thirty-five years, and wish for him a future blessed with good health and much joy.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Martin K. Taylor.
