A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR ALLIANCE CONSULTING ENGINEERS, INC., FOR ITS SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO STATEWIDE ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT AS ONE OF SOUTH CAROLINA'S LEADING CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SERVICES COMPANIES AND TO CONGRATULATE THIS OUTSTANDING COMPANY UPON THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF PROVIDING MEANINGFUL AND IMPORTANT SERVICE THROUGHOUT THE STATE AND THE SOUTHEAST.

Whereas, . the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc., will celebrate its tenth anniversary on May 10, 2014; and

Whereas, founded in 2004 by Deepal S. Eliatamby, P.E., SCCED, the company is headquartered in Columbia and provides civil and environmental engineering services around the State with offices in Bluffton and Greenville and in Charlotte, North Carolina; and

Whereas, from its modest beginnings with five employees just a decade ago, the company now boasts a staff of more than seventy and has experienced tremendous success during very difficult economic times in our nation and State; and

Whereas, the reputation of Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc., has been built on a commitment to clients through personal involvement and quality results, working on more than nine hundred projects, covering every county in the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, the work of Alliance represents eight billion dollars in industrial development and has helped to create seventy-five thousand jobs in the State through such companies as Continental Tire, Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation, Adidas, BMW, QVC, Home Depot, Monster.com, Amazon.com, and Toray Industries; and

Whereas, Alliance has helped communities recruit new industry through various infrastructure projects and has been involved with over two hundred miles of county wastewater lines, industrial site certifications and master plans, numerous water and wastewater treatment facilities, speculative buildings, and roadway plans; and

Whereas, by assisting clients in securing more than one hundred million dollars in grants and low-interest loans, Alliance has helped many communities around the State to build the infrastructure needed to attract new industry; and

Whereas, over the decade, Alliance's success has rested on the performance of exceptional and hardworking employees to assist clients; and

Whereas, an essential company goal has been involvement in numerous community service projects, from adopting highways to participating in walks for cancer, and charitable giving remains one of the firm's highest priorities; and

Whereas, as a means of promoting the wellness of staff members, Alliance has sought to integrate wellness and community service whenever possible; and

Whereas, under the leadership of the company's CEO, Deepal Eliatamby, Alliance has demonstrated commitment to its clients and earned a reputation that it guides clients from conceptual planning through final design, permitting, and construction; and

Whereas, company accomplishments were honored in 2013 by Capital Corporation and Integrated Media Publishing as one of the twenty-five fastest growing businesses in the State, based on financial and employee growth between 2010 and 2012, and was ranked in the annual Grant Thornton South Carolina 100 as one of the state's one hundred largest privately held companies, based on innovation, expansion, talent, culture, and agility; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate appreciate the economic impact and community involvement of Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc., for the past decade and look to hear of its continued success and expansion as it serves citizens in the Palmetto State in the decades to come. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, recognize and honor Alliance Consulting Engineers, Inc., for its significant contributions to statewide economic growth and development as one of South Carolina's leading civil and environmental engineering services companies and congratulate this outstanding company upon the tenth anniversary of providing meaningful and important service throughout the State and the Southeast.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to Deepal S. Eliatamby.
