Amend CSHB 4422 (house committee report) as follows:

(1)  On page 1, between lines 21 and 22, insert the following appropriately numbered subdivision and renumber subsequent subdivisions accordingly:

(____)  representatives of county government from at least three noncontiguous counties that are:

(A)  adjacent to this state's international border with Mexico; or

(B)  adjacent to a county described by Paragraph (A);

(2)  On page 3, at the end of line 19, insert the following:

The report must include a review of the anticipated effects of the security and public safety improvements recommended by the study on international trade efforts with Mexico.
