Amend SB 1936 (senate engrossed printing) on third reading as follows:
(1)  On page 1, between lines 17 and 18, insert the following subsection:
(a-1)  If a court appoints the parents joint managing conservators under Section 153.134, and each conservator resides not more than 50 miles from the primary residence of the child, a court shall first consider an order that provides that each conservator has the right to equal possession of the child under a schedule specified by the court or a schedule agreed to by both conservators. If a court finds that equal possession of the child is not in the best interest of child, the court may enter an altered standard possession order under Subsection (a), and shall make written findings of the reasons equal possession of the child is not in the best interest of the child available to each party.
(2)  On page 1, line 18, strike "Subsection (a)" and substitute "Subsections (a) and (a-1)".
