No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require a parolee on electronic monitoring to receive permission from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prior to visiting a hospital for any purpose other than to receive emergency care. According to TDCJ, any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed using existing resources.
