The bill would amend the Insurance Code to prohibit a health benefit plan from requiring an enrollee to obtain more than one prior authorization annually of the prescription drug benefit for a prescription drug prescribed to treat an autoimmune disorder or certain blood disorder. It is assumed any costs associated with the bill would be implemented within existing resources.
