No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 533 of the Government Code to require the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to implement a certification and appeals process as part of the Medicaid managed care contract procurement process.
HHSC indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
