The bill amends the Local Government Code to require public notice and a hearing concerning a proposed purchase or conversion by a municipality of a property to house homeless individuals.

Local Government Impact

Both the City of Houston and the City of Plano anticipate a significant negative fiscal impact. Fiscal impact to other cities cannot be determined at this time.
