No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Occupations Code as it relates to health professionals providing telemedicine and telehealth services. The bill would permit health professionals who are licensed and located outside of Texas to provide telehealth services as authorized by the state which issued the health professional's license to patients located in Texas. The bill would direct agencies with regulatory authority over health professionals to adopt the rules associated with implementing this section.
